In recent years, Chang'an University has undertaken over 10,000 scientific research projects, including the National 973 and 863 Plans, national key research and development plans, major and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Found Projects, western China transportation construction technology projects, and land resource survey projects. It has received 22 national science and technology awards including the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and over 300 provincial and ministerial level awards. It edits and publishes 8 academic journals, of which 3 are selected in the Excellent Action Plan for Chinese Science and Technology Journals.
